ARISE’s Key Achievements in 2024

As we reflect on the achievements of the ARISE project in 2024, we are proud to showcase a series of important deliverables that highlight the progress and impact of our efforts in the field of industrial human-robot interaction (HRI).

ARISE is dedicated to making industrial HRI deployments more accessible, cost-effective, and widespread across Europe. Central to this vision is the AgileHRI concept—a flexible and scalable framework designed to simplify the integration and operation of collaborative robots in industrial settings.

Throughout the first year of the project, we have made significant strides, not only in developing core technologies but also in validating their real-world applications. From the release of advanced software tools like the NGSI-LD Context Broker with native DDS support (D2.1) to the launch of the first versions of the Vulcanexus middleware (D2.2), ARISE has set a solid foundation for enhancing industrial automation. Our ongoing work in open-source development, ethical HRI frameworks, and testing through the project’s Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs) is driving the adoption of the AgileHRI approach across various industries.

We are excited to present the following twelve key outputs – now available to download – , which underscore the progress made in 2024 – download available here:

1.- D2.1 – NGSI-LD Context Broker with native DDS Support

2.- D2.2 – ARISE Vulcanexus Releases 1

3.- D2.5 – Library of Open modules for agile Industrial HRI development & Periodic Report on ROS4HRI v1

4.- D2.8 – Open APIs and smart data models for industrial HRI

5.- D3.1 – Initial Open SSH Framework for human-centric and ethical HRI
